Rumors are swirling that Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) will announce a meme coin is officially his. Will he do so by April 20, 2025?
This market resolves to “Yes” if Ye announces a crypto token is officially his project by posting a token contract address, ticker, or relevant website on his verified X account or another official source by the closing date (April 20, 2025, 23:00 UTC). This token must be branded as his official token, a token he created, or the token of a company he controls. Retweeting a ticker, contract address, or name does not count. Additionally, the token must be live and readily available for trading to resolve as “Yes.” Announcements, tweets, or promises without a tradable token do not count. If it becomes clear that the token launch was the result of a social media hack, this market will resolve “No.”
The market will resolve “No” if Ye endorses an established cryptocurrency (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin) or if no such announcement is made by the closing date.
This market resolves based on proof of active trading availability (e.g., listings on platforms like CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko, DEX Screener, or other verifiable sources). If there is significant ambiguity around the announcement (e.g., unclear authorship or conflicting statements) the market may be canceled.
