- Market Period: From the publication date through March 17, 2026, at 7:00 PM UTC.
- Observation Period: The first full NYSE trading day following the FOMC’s meeting in March.
- Market Close: March 17, 2026, at 7:00 PM UTC before the FOMC Press conference following the March meeting.
- Resolution Deadline: After the first full NYSE trading day has passed and the resolution source finalized its data.
- Opening Price Target: The Opening Price (O) for the next full trading day following the FOMC announcement.
- Closing Price Target: The Closing Price (C) for the daily close after the first full trading day following the FOMC announcement.
Specific times can be added to the market rules once the actual event dates are publicly known.
Resolution Criteria:
- This market will resolve to “Yes” if the FED applies no change to interest rates after its March meeting and the S&P500 performs delta positive over the Observation Period.
- This market will resolve to “No” if the FED leaves interest rates the same after its March meeting and the S&P500 performs delta negative over the Observation Period, or if the FED announces a change in interest rates after its March meeting.
Resolution Details:
- This market will only be resolved through the FOMC statement of its March meeting and the Historical data of the S&P500 performance according to Investing.com.
- Delta positive is defined as a higher Closing Price Target than Opening Price Target. Delta negative would be the opposite, i.e. a lower Opening Price Target than Closing Price Target.
- In case of a neutral Delta this market will resolve to “No”.
- Only full trading days will be considered towards resolution.
Cancellation Conditions:
- The resolution sources are compromised or unavailable for prolonged periods.
- Any circumstance makes it impossible to determine the outcome definitively.
- The FED cancels or postpones its February meeting.
In the event of cancellation, participants may claim their stakes at the market value of their open positions at the time of cancellation. This could result in a profit or a loss, depending on the price of their outstanding shares.
