Will the AfD be part of the next German federal government?

Will Alternative for Germany (AfD) formally join the next federal government of Germany? This market will close on February 22, 2025 at 17:00 UTC and be resolved by the time the federal government is officially formed following the election. If the AfD is part of any governing coalition or formal power-sharing arrangement, the outcome will be considered “Yes.” Otherwise, it will be “No.” If a government cannot be sworn in following the election—due a failure to form a coalition, for example—and a new election is called the outcome will be “No.” If the election is canceled or postponed this market will be canceled.
