Following a March 2026 data leak revealing the existence of “Claude Mythos” — reportedly Anthropic’s most advanced model to date with major breakthroughs in reasoning, coding, and cybersecurity — speculation has grown around its potential public release. Now said to be in early access testing, the question is whether this next-generation model will make it out to the public before the end of June. Will Claude Mythos be released in time?
Market Dates:
- Market Period: From the publication date through June 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET.
- Market Close: June 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET.
- Resolution Time: July 1, 2026, or earlier if an outcome is reached.
Resolution Criteria:
- Resolves to “Yes” if Anthropic releases a qualifying model and makes it publicly accessible at any point during the Market Period.
- Resolves to “No” otherwise.
Qualifying Model Definition:
A model will qualify if:
- It is explicitly named “Claude Mythos” (e.g., Claude Mythos 1, Mythos X, Mythos 5), OR
- It is confirmed to be the same model referenced in the March 26, 2026 leak by:
- Anthropic directly, or
- A consensus of credible reporting.
The following do NOT qualify unless explicitly confirmed as the same model:
- Claude Haiku
- Claude Sonnet
- Claude Opus (including version iterations such as 4.7, 5.0, etc.)
Public Accessibility Requirement:
For a “Yes” resolution, the qualifying model must be:
- Available to the general public, including:
- Open beta access
- Open waitlist or rolling signups
- Not restricted to private or closed beta access
The release must be:
- Clearly announced by Anthropic, and
- Accessible through official channels (e.g., Anthropic website or product interfaces).
If a qualifying model appears on official platforms:
- It will count as “publicly announced” only if it is actually accessible under the rules above.
- Labeling errors, placeholders, or inaccessible listings will not qualify.
Resolution Details:
- The primary resolution source will be official communications from Anthropic, including:
- Official website updates
- Product releases
- Press announcements
- A consensus of credible reporting from Reuters, Bloomberg and Associated Press may be used if needed.
Cancellation Conditions:
- Official information from Anthropic is unavailable, unclear, or contradictory, making it impossible to determine whether a qualifying model was publicly released.
- No consensus can be reached from credible reporting sources regarding whether the qualifying model meets the defined criteria.
- Any circumstance prevents reliable verification of public accessibility of the qualifying model during the Market Period.
If the market is cancelled, participants can claim their stakes at the then-current market value of their shares, which could result in a profit or a loss depending on the price of those shares at cancellation.
